Everything you need to know in order to rock your fall wardrobe in the heat

Due to the heat, fashion isn't always the most glamorous throughout the summer. Unless of course, you're hitting up all of the summer festivals known to man across the U.S. Unfortunately , there comes a point in the year, where there are no more festivals and it's still a bit too early to start wearing the fall wardrobe that you're dying to show the world. This point is now. It consists of facing a dilemma during the seasonal transition trying to pick an outfit when you have no idea what the day has in store for the weather. Here are a few ideas to help you cope with the fall preseason.

It's definitely a good idea to slowly switch out your closet instead of trying to do it all at once. Switching your wardrobe a few articles and silhouettes at a time will leave you feeling inspired and stress free.

Start with Accessories!

Considering it's still going to be hot outside, it is going to be easiest to accessorize your outfits with fall accents first. Try adding a bitty bag or an extra-long pair of earrings to your outfit. Accessorize with a statement hat, shiny chokers, colorful rhinestones, industrial chain necklaces, glitter tights, thick belts, metal belts, or even a ribbon-tied silk scarf as well.

In this Situation, it's Better to go Toe to Head

Once you've had the chance to work in a few accessories, it's time to put away those super cute, one-of-a-kind sandals. Start to incorporate closed-toed shoes into your wardrobe. This can include anything from, block-heel booties, pointy-toe mules, pointy-toe pumps, platform/chunky sneakers, and ankle booties as well.

In addition to adding shoes to your wardrobe, I know you must be eyeing up some pants too! When it comes to pants, linen is an absolute NO-GO after labor day. Instead, try side-split denim, loose fitting denim trousers, or basically anything plaid.

And finally, once it starts getting a little bit chillier, top off your outfit with a jacket of some sort. This year, go for a belted-jacket to synch the waist, animal print, updated trench longline coats, capelets, and oversized denim jackets too.

These somewhat minor alterations will for sure have you both prepared and excited for what is to come this fall.

Stay stylish,

xoxo
