Depending on where you chose to go to school, it may be hard to continue your fall traditions if you are far away from home. Fall is a favorite season for many, and part of the reason why is because of the traditions and events that come along with it, especially at home. I experienced this fall-feeling a lot this year, and I am only 45 minutes away from home. I wanted to tell you, homesickness is a thing and it is okay to have. But I do not think it is okay not to try and make new traditions too! It’s important to enjoy fall with new friends and create new adventures. Here are some ways or maybe just some inspiration to help you create and end a fall you will love and want to continue every year while off at school.
Stay stylish,

Tailgate
This new tradition is a given, but tailgating is so much fun! It gives you an opportunity to meet so many people and make a countless amount of connections. ** Bonus points if you actually go to the school. 😉
Have a Friendsgiving!
A great and inexpensive way to show appreciation to your roommates or new friends at school to host a Friendsgiving. It’s the perfect way to wrap up November before leaving to go home for Thanksgiving break. Have a “pot-luck” kind of party, which is perfect for leftovers!
Show Off your School by Having a Fall Photoshoot on Campus While this may be easier to do after “school hours” or on the weekend, have a photoshoot on campus! The best part about this is that it is: 1) Free! 2) Your photos (and feed!) will look original af. and
3) Chances are, if you get cold, there’s probably an unlocked building you can walk into and warm up!
Have a Cozy Movie Night
Maybe it’s too cold to go out, or don’t have a 9:00am the next day? The perfect way to celebrate is to put your favorite (& comfy) sweater on, get a group together, and watch a holiday movie. It’s a perfect way to cozy up while still being festive and getting in the holiday spirit!
Hot Chocolate/Coffee Dates
A good way to destress and relax is to go sit down at a coffee shop while sipping (or spilling) some tea. Even if it is just a quick half-hour, it’s important to get what you may be feeling off your chest with someone you trust.
